New York city county clerks’ operations offset fund
1.
There is hereby established in the joint custody of the state comptroller and the commissioner of taxation and finance a fund to be known as the “New York city county clerks’ operations offset fund.” 2. Such fund shall consist of the moneys transferred thereto by the comptroller pursuant to this section.3.
On or before April twentieth in each year commencing with April twentieth, nineteen hundred ninety-five, the chief administrator shall determine and certify to the comptroller the amount of the aggregate receipts derived by the state from the fees specified in paragraphs one and two of subdivision (f) of section eight thousand twenty and section eight thousand twenty-one of the civil practice law and rules during the fiscal year ending the preceding March thirty-first. That amount shall thereupon transferred by the comptroller from the general fund to the New York city county clerks’ operations offset fund.4.
All moneys in the New York city county clerks’ operations offset fund shall be available, subject to appropriation, for the payment of services and expenses of the offices of the county clerks in the city of New York, including liabilities incurred in a prior fiscal year but excluding services rendered and expenses incurred by those offices in discharge of a county clerk’s powers and duties as commissioner of jurors.5.
All payments of moneys from the New York city county clerks’ operations offset fund shall be made on the audit and warrant of the comptroller on vouchers certified or approved by the chief administrator of the courts.
