N.Y. County Law Section 226-A
Patriotic observances


The county legislature and/or board of supervisors, as the case may be, of any county or borough outside the city of New York, is hereby authorized to appropriate and set aside each year such sums it may deem proper for the purpose of providing for the due and proper observance of any legal holiday, including Columbus day.
