Violations


1.

Any person or company who fails to obtain a certificate of registration required pursuant to this article shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.

2.

Criminal actions for failure to obtain a certificate of registration may also be prosecuted by the attorney general, or his or her deputy, in the name of the people of the state, and in any such prosecution the attorney general, or his or her deputy, may exercise all the powers and perform all the duties the district attorney is otherwise authorized to exercise or to perform therein.
