N.Y. Domestic Relations Law Section 77-M
Appeals


An appeal may be taken from a final order in a proceeding under this title in accordance with article fifty-five of the civil practice law and rules and article eleven of the family court act and may be granted a preference in the discretion of the court to which the appeal is taken. Unless the court enters a temporary emergency order under § 76-C (Temporary emergency jurisdiction), the enforcing court may not stay an order enforcing a child custody determination pending appeal.
