N.Y. Domestic Relations Law Section 77-O
Role of law enforcement


At the request of a prosecutor or other appropriate public official acting under § 77-N (Role of prosecutor or public official)section seventy-seven-n of this title, a law enforcement officer, as defined in subdivision thirty-four of section 1.20 of the criminal procedure law, may take any lawful action reasonably necessary to locate a child or a party and assist a prosecutor or appropriate public official with responsibilities under § 77-N (Role of prosecutor or public official)section seventy-seven-n of this title.
