Abolition of the additional office of supervisor of the town of Hempstead


The additional office of supervisor of the town of Hempstead as created pursuant to the provisions of § 41 (Additional supervisors in certain towns)section forty-one of this chapter is abolished effective at 12:01 a.m. on January first, nineteen hundred ninety-six. For purposes of the election law, any petition filed or any nomination made in nineteen hundred ninety-five for the office of presiding supervisor of the town of Hempstead shall be deemed filed and or made for the office of supervisor of the town of Hempstead which shall exist effective 12:01 a.m. on January first, nineteen hundred ninety-six, and any petition filed or nomination made in nineteen hundred ninety-five for the office of supervisor of the town of Hempstead which is abolished hereunder shall be null and void.
