Aquatic invasive species signs at public boat launches


1.

The department of environmental conservation shall design and establish universal signage which may be posted at any access point to the navigable waters of the state relating to the threat and mitigation of aquatic invasive species, as defined in subdivision ten of Environmental Conservation Law § 9-1703 (Definitions)section 9-1703 of the environmental conservation law, in the waters of the state. The department shall provide the universal signage on its website in a downloadable format.

Commencing within one year of the effective date of this section, owners of each public boat launch shall conspicuously post the universal sign of not less than eighteen inches by twenty-four inches, established pursuant to subdivision one of this section, at each public boat launch in the state.
