County laboratories

Except in counties wherein the laboratory has been transferred and established as a division of the county health department, the board of managers of each laboratory, or the county board of health which has been vested with the powers and duties of a board of managers pursuant to subdivision five of § 523 (County laboratories)section five hundred twenty-three of this chapter, shall make to the board of supervisors annually at such time as said supervisors shall direct a detailed report of the operation of the laboratory during the calendar year, including among other things, the number and kind of specimens examined and the results of such examinations, together with suitable recommendations and such other matters as may be required of them.

In counties wherein the laboratory has been transferred and established as a division of the county health department pursuant to law the county board of health shall make to the county executive annually such report at such time as said county executive shall direct a detailed report of the operation of the laboratory during the calendar year, including among other things, the number and kind of specimens examined and the results of such examinations.
