N.Y. Social Services Law Section 406
Department of social welfare designated as state agency


The department is hereby designated as the agency of the state to administer and expend any and all grants of moneys allocated or made available to the state under the provisions of the federal social security act for child welfare services as defined in such act, subject to the provisions of such act and rules and regulations established thereunder and to the laws of the state and rules and regulations established by the state comptroller.
