N.Y. Public Authorities Law Section 2655-B
Public hearings of the authority


Prior to the adoption of any project where the authority would:

1.

expend more than five hundred thousand dollars;

2.

borrow money or issue bonds pursuant to subdivision four of § 2655 (General purposes and powers of the authority)section twenty-six hundred fifty-five of this title; or

3.

condemn real property pursuant to § 2659 (Acquisition of land)section twenty-six hundred fifty-nine of this title; the board shall schedule and hold a public hearing and solicit public comment on such project. After the conclusion of the public hearing and comment, the board shall consider the results of the public hearing and comments with respect to the adoption of the proposed project. Such consideration by the board shall include the accommodation of the public interest with respect to such project, if such accommodation is deemed in the best interest of the community and the authority’s purposes as expressed in § 2655 (General purposes and powers of the authority)section twenty-six hundred fifty-five of this title, the proposal and resolution may be amended.
