N.Y. Public Authorities Law Section 1745
Limited liability


Neither the members of the board nor any officers or employee of the authority acting on behalf thereof, while acting within the scope of such person’s authority, shall be subject to any liability resulting from carrying out any of the powers expressly given in this title. A trustee, officer or employee of the authority shall be deemed an “employee” for the purposes of General Municipal Law § 50-K (Civil actions against employees of the city of New York)section fifty-k of the general municipal law, provided, however, that any trustee appointed by the governor or any employee of the state shall be deemed an “employee” for the purposes of Public Officers Law § 18 (Defense and indemnification of officers and employees of public entities)section eighteen of the public officers law for any actions relating to their activities as a trustee of the authority created by this title.
