N.Y. Education Law Section 6271
Definitions


For the purposes of this article:

1.

“Dormitory authority” means the dormitory authority of the state of New York as established by the dormitory authority act.

2.

“City” means the city of New York.

3.

“City university” means the city university of New York, including the senior colleges and the community colleges governed and administered by the board of higher education pursuant to article 125 (City University of New York)article one hundred twenty-five of this chapter.

4.

“Facility” means a housing unit for the use of students, married students, faculty, staff and the families of such married students, faculty and staff, an academic building, administration building, library, laboratory, classroom or other building or structure essential, necessary or useful in the academic program of the city university, including all necessary and usual attendant and related facilities and equipment.

5.

“Fund” means the city university construction fund as established by this article.

6.

“Senior college” shall have the same meaning as in subdivision five of § 6202 (Definitions)section six thousand two hundred two of this chapter.

7.

“Community college” shall have the same meaning as in subdivision four of § 6202 (Definitions)section six thousand two hundred two of this chapter.
