N.Y. Correction Law Section 503
Permit to bring liquor into jail


A permit by a jail physician as specified in the last section shall not be granted, unless the physician is satisfied, that the liquor allowed to be furnished is necessary for the health of the civil prisoner, for whose use it is permitted and that fact must be stated in the permit.
