N.Y. Banking Law Section 739
License provisions and posting


1.

A license issued under this article shall state the name and address of the licensee, and if the licensee be a co-partnership or association, the names of the members thereof, and for a corporation, the date and place of its incorporation.

2.

Such license shall be kept conspicuously posted on the mobile application, website, or other consumer interface of the licensee, as well as listed in the terms and conditions of any buy-now-pay-later loan offered or entered into by the licensee. The superintendent may provide by regulation an alternative form of notice of licensure.

3.

A license issued under this article shall not be transferable or assignable. * NB Effective upon the one hundred eightieth day after the promulgation of rules and/or regulations by the department of financial services to effectuate certain provisions (see Ch. 58 of 2025, Part Y, § 13)
