State health areas

1.

The commissioner shall from time to time divide the state, except cities of the first class, into as many regional and district health areas as he may determine to be necessary for the efficient operation of the department.

2.

The commissioner shall appoint for each regional health area a regional health director who shall be a physician.

3.

The commissioner shall appoint for each district health area a state district health officer who shall be a physician licensed or eligible for license to practice medicine and surgery in this state. * NB There are 2 § 240’s
