N.Y. Public Authorities Law Section 2632
Hudson-Mohawk urban cultural park commission


A commission to be known as the “Hudson-Mohawk urban cultural park commission” is hereby created.

1.

Such commission shall be a body corporate and politic, constituting a public benefit corporation.

2.

The commission shall have a board of directors which shall consist of ten voting members, as follows:

(a)

The mayor of the city of Troy.

(b)

The mayor of the village of Waterford.

(c)

The supervisor of the town of Waterford.

(d)

The mayor of the city of Cohoes.

(e)

The mayor of the village of Green Island.

(f)

The mayor of the city of Watervliet.

(g)

The supervisor of the town of Colonie.

(h)

A resident official or employee of Saratoga county appointed by and serving at the pleasure of the board of supervisors of such county.

(i)

The county executive of Rensselaer county.

(j)

The county executive of Albany county. The commissioner of the office of parks, recreation and historic preservation shall be a non-voting member of the board. Each member may designate a representative to participate in his place. The members shall choose from their number a chairman, vice-chairman, and secretary-treasurer. Six of the board’s voting members shall constitute a quorum. The members of the board shall be entitled to no compensation for their services but shall be entitled to reimbursement for their actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their official duties. The voting powers of the commission shall be vested in and exercised by a majority of the members of the board. Such board may delegate to one or more of its members or to its officers, agents and employees such powers and duties as it may deem proper.
