N.Y. Judiciary Law Section 200
Power of county judges of certain counties to appoint criers for courts of record


The county judge of each county, except Kings and Erie, from time to time, may appoint and at pleasure remove, a crier for the courts of record held in his county, other than the appellate divisions of the supreme court.
