N.Y. Executive Law Section 971
Definitions


Whenever used in this article:

1.

“Act” means the federal Job Training Partnership Act as enacted into law by Public Law 97-300.

2.

“Council” means the committee, board or council established by the governor to meet the requirements of section one hundred twenty-two of the act for a state job training coordinating council.

3.

“Plan” means the governor’s coordination and special services plan as required by section one hundred twenty-one of the act.

4.

“Workforce preparation programs” means employment and training programs and human resource utilization activities including but not limited to job training and development, vocational education, public assistance employment, labor market information and employment services.

5.

“Service delivery areas” means the areas designated by the governor in accordance with the provisions of section one hundred one of the act.
