N.Y. Education Law Section 1104
State aid


1.

The commissioner of education in the annual apportionment of public moneys shall apportion therefrom to each county maintaining approved vocational education and extension work, a quota amounting to one-half of the salary paid each teacher, director, assistant, and supervisor, but not to exceed ten thousand five hundred dollars on account of the employment of such teacher, director, assistant or supervisor.

Notwithstanding the provisions of subdivision one of this section or chapters fifty-three and three hundred ninety-one of the laws of nineteen hundred eighty-nine or any other provision of law to the contrary, aid payable to county vocational education and extension boards in the spring of nineteen hundred ninety shall be reduced by an amount equal to the amount that would have been paid pursuant to § 521 (Collection of contributions)section five hundred twenty-one of this chapter to the New York state teachers’ retirement system on behalf of such board.
