N.Y. Vehicle & Traffic Law Section 547
Period of validity of escort certificates

An escort certificate shall be valid:

(a)

for a New York state licensee from its date of issuance until the expiration of such person’s driver’s license, and

(b)

for non-residents, a four year period from its date of issuance.
